June 20, 2008 - Grammy nominated and famed production duo MIDI Mafia will be honored at the 21st Annual ASCAP Rhythm and Soul Music awards this Monday, June 23rd. MIDI Mafia- consisting of hit makers Dirty Swift and Bruce Waynne - will be recognized for their work on R&B singer Fantasia's smash single "When I See U," one of the top songs of 2007. Says MIDI Mafia, "Working with Fantasia is always incredible, and with 'When I See U,' it was one of those times when you have the right song for the right artist and everything just connects."

Prior to their work with Fantasia, MIDI Mafia has collaborated and produced songs for a range of A-list artists including Jennifer Lopez, Mos Def, Young Buck, Talib Kweli, Nelly and G-Unit. Their rise to fame began on the crest of the smash hit "21 Questions" with 50 Cent. The duo's production - consisting of Bruce Waynne's distinctive vocals and visual songwriting style combined with Dirty Swift's DJ influenced methodologies and technical expertise - is represented on over 20 million records sold worldwide.

Currently, MIDI Mafia is in the studio producing Fantasia's entire next album, as well as busy forming their own label, Family Ties Entertainment and launching one of their first artists Shiré, an R&B soul artist out of Baltimore whose sound calls upon the heartache of Mary J. Blige combined with the fiery attitude of Lil Kim. Shiré's debut album "Picking Up The Pieces" will be in stores in 2009.
