May 24, 2008 - Crooked I has today released the first single from his highly anticipated, long awaited and debut album, B.O.S.S. (Beginning of Something Serious) through the Dynasty Online Community website www.dynastyentgroup.com and online hip-hop websites. The album is a long awaited project due to prolonged legal issues with Suge Knight and Death Row Records. Hands down, as the most anticipated album from the most critically acclaimed west coast artist to have never released an album, Crooked I is free and clear to finally deliver what the streets have been craving.
A patient and level-headed genius who looks at his past years of misfortune as a learning experience, Crooked I wants to walk away from it all with respect and holds no hard feelings toward his prior label. Instead, Crooked I is using what he has gained in his ventures to re-establish himself and his own 'Dynasty.' His main goal is to revamp Westcoast classic [rap]. Crooked I hopes to bring the 'life experiences' back into Westcoast music through his albums and allow the 'little' guys, up and coming in the rap game, to take part in this evolution as well.
Sway and Tech (Wake Up Show and MTV): We've had everybody from Jay-Z, to Nas, Biggie, Tupac, to Eminem, to Xzibit. Crooked I is in the top 5.
Irv Gotti (Murder Inc CEO): Everything I saw in Jay-Z, DMX and Ja Rule, I see in Crooked I.
Just Blaze (Multi-platinum selling producer): Crooked I is the best not-so-new artist I've ever heard.
Bishop Lamont (Aftermath recording artist): Crooked is one of the dopest niggas I've ever heard.
