January 26, 2006 - Rapper Cam'ron has stated his feud with rapper Jay-Z is not a publicity stunt. The rapper born Cameron Giles turned the heat up on the beef with the release of `Gotta Love It.' Jay-Z has declined to respond, calling it just a play for attention. Many have been wondering if Dame Dash had a hand in this cut, since Cam starts off the song by saying he's dissing Jay because Hova mistreated Dash in Roc-A-Fella business dealings. Killa cleared that up as well. "Dame didn't hear it until everybody else heard it" he said of the song.
Dash said "..it's unfortunate to see such a public rift between Jay and Cam but it's hip-hop..It's sad it has to be Cam and Jay, because I have affiliation with both of them. But I have more affiliation with Cam than I do with Jay.."
On Tuesday Killa has to appear in court, where he'll find out if he has to spend 30 days in jail. He was charged with violating his probation, which doesn't allow him to leave New York state without permission. Cam claims he forgot he had a show booked in D.C., didn't want to get sued for missing it and there was not time to contact his probation officer.
