November 09, 2005 - Formed two years ago, D4L has seemingly appeared out of nowhere to become one of the hottest, most innovative groups
to spring forth from the dirty concrete of the ATL. D4L are composed by Fa-bo, Mook-B, Stoney and Shawty Lo. The noise first
started with the crazy, catchy "Betcha Can't Do It Like Me" and spilled over into their naughty follow-up smash "Laffy
Taffy," a song that took radio by storm, garnering thousands of spins and placing D4L on the music industry's radar.
Mook-B says about their beginning: "..All of us come from the streets. We really, really lived the street
life.."
Fabo adds: "..the beauty of D4L is that they have learned how to work together as a unit..It's like a car. There's a body, there's an engine.."
D4L's debut album, "D4L: Down For Life" (November 8) released jointly by Dee Money Entertainment (Crime Mob, Playa Fly
and Mac Bre-Z) and Asylum Records, is a collection of songs created in the image of Shawty Lo, Stoney, Fabo and Mook-B.
Tonight, D4L will perform "Laffy Taffy" on BET's 106 & Park airs at 6pm. |
