GANGSTASPARTY.com: 1) Introduce us: FLAGRANT... How did u get this name?
FLAGRANT (Flame): The name came about from our attitude early on, like F*ck It, we didn't care, like Flagrant, foul, illmatic. Flagrant is still the movement, but I'm a solo artist right now. Sonny Vega$ fell back for a minute to handle some of life's other situations, but i'm still carrying the Flag for the situation
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 2) What's your styles?
FLAGRANT (Flame): My style has evolved, im still direct, right at you, but i have to sprinkle that in with things i encounter on a day to day. I'm no multi-millionaire yet, i still have to deal with the day to day issues life throw at me. So mix that with what i do best and i'm a beast. My story game is what i'm proud of because anyone can rap. Sonny gave you the perspective from an OG, someone who played the streets, learn, grew and knew better.
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 3) How'd you get you start in "RAP GAME"?
FLAGRANT (Flame): I've been rapping since i was in 6th or 7th grade and im only 20, so the best is yet to come and im in the game early!
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 4) Where does the inspiration for your rhymes come from ?
FLAGRANT (Flame): My inspiration comes from my environment and trying to get out of it, from my daughter, my moms, life itself.
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 5) What do you think, nowadays, about "RAP GAME" scene in Buffalo?
FLAGRANT (Flame): I mean, its some talented cats there, but the town is like crabs in a barrel, no one really supports each other. I think the LO could make some real noise if we stood together and the local radio station supported the artists from the area. Overall though, we have our own scene.
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 6) Tell us something about your mixtape: "TRAFFIKIN". What is the meaning for this title?
FLAGRANT (Flame): Traffikin is in stores now!!!! over 20k sold, hit up the myspace page myspace.com/flagrantmusic and get yourself one..they going for cheap.
And we don't say mixtape, we call it a compilation because we gave the people a lot of original material. The meaning of the title just meant we moving our music and movement from state to state making people familiar with Flame aka Danny Dutch, Flagrant and Sonny Vega$
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 7) Could u give me any anticipations about your next project titled “TRAFFIKIN II”?
FLAGRANT (Flame): The next Traffikin is done! We doing it again with DJ Papa Smirf from Miami, thats my dude. This one might be ALL original material, that meaning production, because me personally I dont like to rhyme over instrumental unless its damn near classic or real obscure. Everyone can rhyme over a TI, Jeezy or Neptune beat. I just waiting on Drehow.(manager) to pull the trigger.
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 8) When your new mixtape comin' out?
FLAGRANT (Flame): I say that joint will be hitting the street in the Fall 06 sometime, man we still doing press on Traffikin and that joint came out almost a year ago. Its in this month Scratch and I just did an interview with Billboard Magazine. How many cats doing that after doing ONE MIXTAPE!!! That was our plan, my nigga Drehow. and me we move strategic.
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 9) Is there a cut that u prefer on these mixtapes and why?
FLAGRANT (Flame): Ummm, its so many i can name, i like the whole joint, shit i made it...lolol...but i can either say the "Get Away" record or "Why Me", because those let the people into my world, like real life stuff you know.
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 10) Are there any rappers/producers that u'd like to work with?
FLAGRANT (Flame): man, any artist or producer who trying to get it like i am. Beanie Siegel, Papoose, 50, Clipse, Pharrell, Buck, TI, Scarface, Game...i respect alot cats. i'd like some beats from Neptunes, Dre, Tim, Preemo and the new, hungry cats too...hit me up flagrantmusic@gmail.com
GANGSTASPARTY.com: 11) Tell us something about your future projects
FLAGRANT (Flame): Its hot, its done, i got records from Street Radio, Edreys Music, Volcanic Production from ATL. Working on a couple surprise collabos..
